Submission Guidelines
At The Calling Tree Press, we believe every book is a seed of connection. We invite submissions that awaken wisdom, wonderment, and aha moments—works that root readers in deeper understanding of each other, God and Man, Heaven and Earth, and themselves.
What We Publish
We welcome:

Fiction that connects readers to the people and world around them, and to new understanding

Reflective nonfiction (memoir, essays, spirituality, creative nonfiction)

Children’s books and intergenerational stories of meaning and imagination

Works of beauty and truth that invite exploration, curiosity, and goodness
We do not publish: horror, erotica, or projects outside our mission.
All submissions are reviewed by our team and run through AI-detection software. We evaluate this on a case-by-case basis as part of our editorial review—manuscripts determined to be largely AI-generated will not be accepted.
How to Submit
Our Process
At the end of the form, you will be asked to attach documents that contain the following information:

Cover Letter & Author Bio
Introduce yourself and your project. Tell us why it belongs at The Calling Tree Press, and share your background, publishing experience (if any), and vision for your work.

Full Manuscript
We ask for your complete manuscript at this stage, not a sample. If your book finds a home here, you'll want it ready for the editing process anyway, and a complete manuscript helps us understand your full body of work from the start. If your project is illustrated, also include a link to your portfolio or sample images.

A Note on Our Publishing Model
The Calling Tree Press currently offers hybrid publishing partnerships — author and press invest together, with the author retaining more control and a stronger royalty share than traditional publishing typically allows. Offering traditional contracts (fully press-funded) is part of our long-term vision, and we'll be transparent with our community as that capability grows.
